Now that you’ve got the low down on our vetted trainings and continuing education, let’s break down what sets Brood apart, what having a career in care work requires, and how we can support you on this journey!

Becoming a doula is not just a career choice; it’s a lifestyle that requires dedication, flexibility, and a deep desire to support others during life’s most transformative experiences. As a care worker, you’ll not only provide emotional and physical support to birthing individuals and families but also run a business alongside it. This means being prepared for an unscheduled lifestyle, with the ability to be on call at any time. Reliable transportation is essential for attending births and prenatal/postpartum appointments. Most doulas enter the field with some basic knowledge of birth or a strong passion for helping people, but the journey to becoming a doula involves ongoing learning and growth. It’s a rewarding path that requires commitment, compassion, and a willingness to embrace the unpredictability of birth and the needs of the families you serve.

At Brood, we’re not just an agency; we’re a community of passionate, dedicated doulas and care workers committed to making a difference in the lives of new families. When you choose to work with us, you’re not just joining a team – you’re becoming part of a supportive network that values your growth, expertise, and unique contributions.
