What costs does the scholarship cover?
Full tuition for Bebo Mia’s 16-week Full Spectrum Doula Training program beginning March 19, 2026. This covers the full tuition which is $2,779 USD (about $3,900 CAD).
How many scholarships are available?
5 fully funded spots.
Does the scholarship include childcare, transportation, or technology support?
No. The scholarship covers tuition only.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Live in Brood’s Canadian service regions (Vancouver, Victoria, Squamish, or Calgary)
- Be available for weekly Thursday classes for 16 weeks
- Have reliable internet access
- Be able to complete all course requirements
- Be available for work as a birth, postparum or full spectrum doula with Brood after completion of course (Part time/Flexible/Full Time contract work available)
- Priority is given to applicants who face financial or access barriers to doula training.
Do I need prior experience as a doula?
No experience is required. We value lived experience, readiness to learn, and a commitment to supporting families.
Is employment guaranteed?
Yes. Scholarship recipients are applying for both the training and a paid doula role at Brood, beginning Summer/Fall 2026 after certification is completed.
What is the training schedule?
Training begins March 19, 2026 and runs for 16 weeks. Classes are held on Thursdays.
Where does the training take place?
Training is delivered online through Bebo Mia. Applicants must have reliable internet access.
